Leave a Voicemail or Send a Text

If Jerry can't pick up, leave a voicemail or send a text to 540.303.2410. Include:

  • Your name and callback number
  • What happened (briefly)
  • How many people or systems are affected
  • Whether you can still work at all or if you're completely down

Jerry checks messages regularly, even after hours. For true emergencies, he'll call you back as soon as he sees it.

A few things you can do right now to help the situation.

If you think it's ransomware or a virus:

  • Disconnect the affected computer from the network (unplug the ethernet cable or turn off Wi-Fi)
  • Do NOT pay any ransom or click any links on the screen
  • Do NOT turn the computer off — leave it as-is so Jerry can see what's happening
  • Write down any error messages or screenshots if you can

If your server or network is down:

  • Check if the problem is just one computer or your whole office
  • Look at your router/switch — are the lights on? Any blinking red?
  • Check if your internet is working (try loading a website on your phone using Wi-Fi)
  • Don't restart the server unless Jerry tells you to — it could make things worse
