Over 20 years in Winchester, we've gotten to know a lot of good people running good businesses. These are the ones we actually trust — and send our own customers to.
A quick, honest word about this page. Nobody paid to be here. No kickbacks, no referral fees, no "you scratch my back" deals. Most of these folks we see every week — we're part of the same Winchester business group (BNI's United Business Partners), and we've watched each other work. A few others are longtime clients we've served and come to trust. Either way, if we point you toward someone on this list, it's because we'd send our own family to them.
PERSONAL, BUSINESS & CYBER INSURANCE
Ask for Jamison Ford. When we tell a small business they need cyber insurance — and these days most do — this is who we send them to. (New to the idea? Our free Cyber Insurance: Do I Need It? course covers the basics.)
NON-PROFIT — ELECTRONICS RECYCLING
When we retire an old computer, this is where it goes. We collect old electronics and, a few times a year, Blue Ridge Care comes and hauls them off to recycle. They're a local non-profit that keeps the tech out of the landfill and puts the proceeds toward care for families across the region. Old tech doing a little good on its way out.
A few of the local businesses that trust us with their tech — and that we're glad to point you toward.
Beyond our networking group — when a job needs a specialist we don't do in-house.
PROFESSIONAL DATA RECOVERY
When a hard drive fails for real — clicking, dead, or beyond the simple recovery we do in-house — this is who we send people to. They do professional, clean-room data recovery for a living. (More on when you need them on our data recovery first-aid page.)
MAC & CELLPHONE REPAIR
Apple repairs — MacBooks, iMacs, iPhones, iPads — and cellphone screens aren't something we do in-house. When that's what you need, we send folks to GUI in Winchester. They're an Apple Independent Repair Provider and do it all day long.
COPIER & PRINTER SALES & SERVICE
For office copiers and the bigger printers — sales, service, and supplies — these are the folks in Front Royal we point people to. Thirty-plus years at it, and they cover the brands most local offices run.
We're always glad to know more of the good ones. If you run — or love — an honest local business in the Winchester area, tell Jerry about them.
Most of the folks on this page, we see every week. For 17 years, Jerry has been part of BNI — a local business networking group built on one simple idea: Givers Gain. You give referrals and look out for other businesses first, and it comes back around. No hard sells, no chasing — just local people helping each other do good work. Honestly, it's a big part of why this page exists.
Run a business in the Winchester area and curious what Givers Gain is all about? Come see it for yourself — visitors are always welcome at our chapter, United Business Partners.
Honest computer repair, managed IT, and free tech education for Winchester homes, small businesses, and non-profits — the same straight-shooting we look for in everyone on this page.
